*Please arrive a minimum of 15 minutes early to check-in. Check-in will be located at the pavilion at Emma Russell Park next to the tryout fields. We will confirm your registration for tryouts and give your player a bib number to wear for BOTH days of tryouts.

All tryouts are two days long. Although not mandatory, it is highly recommended that you attend both days of tryouts. Players may “play up” a birth year if there is no team in their age group or if their skills allow and they are offered a spot on an older team.

Players who are offered a spot on a team will receive an offer letter via email by June 9th

Total fees required: $148.00

If your player is offered a spot on a team, you will be required to pay the registration fee of $95.00 - this includes the AYSO membership fee of $25.00 and the Region registration fee of $70.00. Once all players on the team have accepted and paid registration fees, uniforms will be ordered from soccer.com. Your player will be able to select the number they would like to wear for the season and will come with a blue and white kit combination of jerseys, shorts, and socks. The uniform kit is an additional $53.00 with tax.

Players who are not offered a spot on a team will receive a decline letter shortly after we confirm the team rosters.

AYSO EXTRA Program

The AYSO Extra program is an advanced level of play offered within the American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO). It's designed for players who are seeking a more competitive soccer experience beyond the standard recreational level. It provides:

  1. Enhanced Competition: AYSO Extra provides an opportunity for players who demonstrate advanced skills and a strong commitment to the sport to compete at a higher level. This means that players will face tougher opponents and have the chance to further develop their abilities.

  2. Skill Development: The program focuses on developing players' technical skills, tactical understanding, physical fitness, and mental strength. Coaches typically have higher levels of training and experience, allowing them to provide more specialized instruction tailored to individual player needs.

  3. Extended Season: Unlike the regular AYSO season, the Extra program often extends beyond the typical duration, providing players with more opportunities to train and compete. This extended season allows for more focused development and improvement.

  4. Travel and Tournaments: Depending on the region and league, AYSO Extra teams may participate in tournaments and travel to compete against teams from other areas. This exposes players to different styles of play and enhances their overall soccer experience.

  5. Higher Commitment Level: Participation in the Extra program typically requires a higher level of commitment from both players and parents. Practices may be more frequent and intense, and there may be additional financial and time commitments associated with travel and tournaments.

  6. Balanced Approach: Despite the increased level of competition, AYSO Extra maintains the organization's core values of sportsmanship, fair play, and positive coaching. Coaches and officials are trained to uphold these principles, ensuring a positive experience for all participants.

  7. Opportunities for Advancement: For players who aspire to play soccer at higher levels, such as high school or college, participating in AYSO Extra can provide valuable experience and exposure. Scouts and recruiters often attend tournaments, providing opportunities for players to showcase their talents.

Overall, the AYSO Extra program offers a stepping stone for players who are looking to take their soccer skills to the next level while still enjoying the supportive and inclusive environment that AYSO is known for. Parents should consider their child's skill level, commitment, and enthusiasm for the sport when deciding if the Extra program is the right fit.
