Interested in Referee Training?
The training is FREE and upon completion we will order you a referee shirt. To register for referee courses, please contact Lorinda Mayfield -

or Tara Draayer -

We encourage all coaches, parents, and players age 10 and up (especially Summer Select players) to attend. This course allows you to qualify for the referee incentive program.
Requirements: To receive the regional referee certification, you must be 10 years of age or older. This will allow you to referee age U10 games (or above depending on your experience) once you have completed the course. You may take the class if you are 10 years of age or older.
Before Class Begins: Each participant must go to
www.eayso.org, log-in and complete a volunteer form
and register for the next referee class. To register, once you have logged into
www.eayso.org, click on the first tab, “MyeAYSO” and select course signup. Once you have completed your volunteer form and registered for the class, go to
www.aysotraining.org. You will need your AYSO ID number and your last name to log in to the training site. Before you can referee a single game, you must complete the “Safe Haven” and “CDC Concussion” online training classes. When you take these courses, please print the certificates at the end of each course and bring a copy to the referee class.
Note: Do not worry if you are unable to complete all of these steps before classes are held if you do not have enough time to do so. Please come to the class anyway and we will work out a plan to get them completed before you start refereeing games. Completing these requirements early will speed up the process and your certification. If you have any questions at all, please email me. My contact information is listed above.
AYSO Referees Must be Certified in the Following Training Courses:
Safe Haven
Concussion Training
Referee Course
As a reminder: All Referees are required to take the new Concussion Training
Utah Law requires every Referee to take the concussion training. This in addition to the Safe Haven training is two of the most critical training's we can provide our volunteers. I am making this priority number one in the spring season because I want our children to be in the safest possible environment around. I ask that you support me in this goal to get 100% Concussion and safe haven training completed for all volunteers by the start of every season. I can assure you that this training is critical for all so that we can help identify signs, assist in corrective steps to get the players back on the pitch and most importantly learn how to prevent concussions. If you have any questions regarding this new mandate training please contact our Safety Director Kelly Dean -

Thanks again for everything you do for the kids
